Below, Cornelius Ellen stands at location where S/Sgt Eugene F. Darter landed in the Wadden Sea, just 300 m off the shoreline. Darter was wounded and could not unbuckle his parachute and was dragged out into the Wadden Sea by the wind. His remains are likely out further in the deeper channels of the mysterious Wadden Sea. Cornelius was 17 years old at the time.
